Pretty In Pink – Strawberry Smoothie

This smoothie has only 5 ingredients and takes only 5 minutes to whip up this beauty. Perfect for a snack or midday meal or even for breakfast, sip it through a straw or have it with a spoon – either way, it is great. It is thick, creamy, ice-cold and very satisfying! So it’s perfect for a snack you can whip together at any time. My favourite time for smoothies is breakfast, or after a workout. Nothing refreshes and hydrates like fruit!

If your strawberries are not very sweet, you might need to add a little extra sweetener before you blitz it. I used some tackle syrup as it was just sitting in my pantry but you could use some maple syrup, honey, or simply add some dates into the blender.

I’m hoping you will love this strawberry smoothie, it’s thick, creamy, ice-cold, satisfying and tastes like strawberry ice cream!

This smoothie is:

  • Packed with nutrients from strawberries, banana and pitaya
  • Dairy-free and vegan
  • Gluten-free and grain-free
  • Low-fat and low -calorie
  • Sweet, delicious and pretty!

If you are using fresh strawberries, it is best to freeze banana chunks in advance, as the frozen fruits give a creamier consistency.
