Creamy Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl

Anyone else is dreaming of this bowl of goodness with some Bali vibes right now? Alright, guys, I am missing travelling around the world as much everyone else so why should not I try some food that can take me around the world just right from my own home! I know that smoothie bowls may seem like an overrated Instagram trend, but I’m here to tell you that they’re truly a perfect, easy and healthy breakfast packed with nutrients that comes together in less than 10 minutes.

Adding a hearty smoothie bowl to your daily โ€“ or almost daily โ€“ meal routine, you will find just how much your body will transform itself with simple, clean food.

You can throw in just about anything. Frozen fruits, fresh fruits, kinds of milk, protein powder, superfood powders, nuts, nut butter, and even greens and vegetables! It’s easy to incorporate a wide range of nutrients into one smoothie, without the effort of preparing ingredients separately.

Secondly, TOPPINGS. Yes, that’s the best part ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s all about textures and colours for me, so I always top my bowls with ingredients with contrasting colours and crunchy elements. Once you added the toppings, smoothie bowls are truly a full meal, so they’ll actually keep you full until the next meal! Smoothie bowls are the ultimate upgrade to a traditional smoothie. A creamy smoothie thatโ€™s so thick you can eat it with a spoon.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of frozen mango
  • 1 cup of frozen banana
  • 1 cup of frozen pink dragon fruit
  • 1/2 cup plant milk
  • Toppings (I used blueberries, roasted shredded coconut flakes, mango and dragon fruit)

Method

  1. In a high powered blender, combine all the ingredients together except toppings. Blend until smooth and add more milk if necessary depending on your preferences.
  2. Pour the mixture into a bowl immediately. Decorate with toppings.
  3. Enjoy immediately!
